“Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, and you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.”
Apple computers and devices such as iPods, iPads, and iPhones have changed the way the world listens to music and reads books. Such industries have radically changed as a result of what Steve Jobs’ company brought to market. We buy fewer books. No longer are CDS scattered around. Without the convenience of downloading high quality music from the internet, through sites like iTunes, and uploading them to a device you love interacting with, this likely wouldn’t be the case.
As well as the improved access to digital media, it is also the design quality of the devices that play our music and movies that make owning Apple products such a joy. Jobs often espoused the idea that form and function are one and the same. The world has caught up to this notion. Function doesn’t matter, if it doesn’t also achieve a beautiful aesthetic.
